Check out CES this year in Las Vegas to learn about the latest in Consumer Electronics. Free exhibits passes are available through Midnight, December 30th, 2005. Last year I spent nearly a week learning the latest in cameras, computers, wireless networking, GPS, Cell Phones, Video Games, Home Entertainment Systems, Personal Navigation Systems, Software, and much much more. One program I remember, Singing Coach Unlimited, showed a graphical representation of your voice to give you visual feedback both on timing and pitch as you sing along with the computer. One vendor, (I'd include his URL, but he didn't have one, ) sold Clocks and Radios, Binoculars and Magnifiers, at prices so low I used some of them as giveaways for EntConnect, a high tech entrepreneurial conference I put on each year in Colorado. One company had a game controller specially designed to help you stay in shape by making you work your tail off to play the game. At a Texas Instruments Technology booth on DLP, (Digital Light Processing) I received my press kit in the form of a tiny USB hard drive. There's even an entire section of CES dedicated to automotive products. It's a great place to learn about technology, but make sure you wear comfortable shoes. The show is huge! CES, if you're listening, please bring back the Dove Bars. ;-) John Gaudio, john@gaudio.com |
