| January 29, 2006 | | Good content doesn't have to be long or go into great detail to be of value both to your readers and to search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN Search. Write short simple posts and point your readers to links where more details can be found. | by John Gaudio Sometimes we don't write because creating a post seems like too much work, or we start to write a post, then embargo (hide) it because it doesn't seem to have enough meat to it. While in depth articles are fine, and certainly have their place, it's always better to write a short piece that points someone in the right direction, than to write nothing at all because writer's block, or a tendency toward perfectionism holds you back. Write early and write often. Write on topic, but don't procrastinate because your post isn't perfect. | | |
