Delta Hell Blog Post Found by Google in a Matter of Hours

Blogsites provide outstanding findability, but even I didn't expect Google to notice my blogging so quickly.

Earlier today, I was very frustrated with Delta Airlines and their frequent flier program, so I blogged about it. For details, please see the link at the bottom of this post.

To make sure I spelled Alicia Watson's name correctly, I searched Google for Alicia Watson Delta Airlines. In first place I found an article from 2005 that confirmed the spelling of her name. In second place, and to my great surprise, was the blog post I'd created just a few hours earlier.

I don't expect this to be the norm, as it usually takes a few days for Google to pick up my posts.

I don't know if something changed at Google, if Bill and Andy have been tweaking the platform,

or if Google's timing and mine just happened to coincide perfectly.

But it's good to be noticed so quickly.
