by John Gaudio, 3:50 PM, PST, picked up by Google around 7:00 PM, PST. Last night, at CES Unveiled, I saw a very clever low tech solution to a high tech problem. It's always a pain to run wires inside walls to make things look pretty, and someone's come up with a clever way to eliminate that problem. Enter The evo systemTM and Vantage Point.
Imagine hiding the whole wall, or any part of it, simply by attaching a metal frame to your wall, then inserting beautiful modular wall tiles in the frame. The system takes only about four inches from the length or width of your room, but makes it possible to easily mount your television, speakers, and other components, connect them behind your new false wall, and have easy access to the wiring anytime you need it. The concept is so simple, it's brilliant, and the ability to mix and match different finishes makes it very flexible. So, if you have something cool to mount on your wall, but don't want to deal with the problems all those wires present, consider The eve system,TM by Vantage Point.
