They're the most comfortable printed shirts you can get 'cause you don't feel the ink at all. by John Gaudio, posted 11:58 PM, MST. Picked up by Google approx. 3:00 AM, MST, 01/22/08. The Brother Garment Printer uses a water based ink jet screen printing system to create beautiful full color images on materials from 50% to 100% cotton. The ink is dried and permanently bonded to the cotton fibers in a heat press. Printing typically takes under a minute per image, and drying/bonding the ink to the cloth extends that time to something under two minutes. The result is a fully washable, custom printed tee shirt, ready to hand the customer in under two minutes. Consumables (inks) typically run eighty cents per image, and the Brother Garment Printer shows you the cost before printing the image. Double click on the picture of Bill to the left, to learn more. Of course Brother also has a full line of sewing and embroidery machines, for those of you who'd rather print with thread than ink, but that's another story, which you can find at one of the links below. So who buys a twenty thousand dollar ink jet printer? According to Bill Sween at CES, it's anyone who can sell a lot of custom tee shirts. ;-) |
