The purpose of Facial Muscle Therapy is to get the facial and neck and head muscles into balance so they're working for you, not against you. by John Gaudio, Posted 4:55 AM, Picked up by Google, 9:30 AM. I met Sandy last week, and learned quite a bit about how she helps her patients, not through surgery, or even the use of orthotics, but by teaching them to properly use the muscles in their face, neck and head to improve posture, eliminate teeth clenching, get rid of "allergy shiners" and much more. Please click twice on the video to hear Sandy explain how, even though her patient's teeth don't fit evenly, this problem can be corrected through exercises designed to bring her muscles into balance. The exercises, combined with postural training and massage, will correct the patient's bad habits and bring her teeth into the proper positions, thus reducing the jaw discomfort she's feeling, (TMJ like symptoms,) and hopefully, reducing her fibromyalgia like symptoms as well. Sandra uses massage, and teaches her patients to use massage on themselves, in order to stimulate muscles and the lymphatic system. Exercises with the tongue and mouth train the patient, even while sleeping, to breath properly through her nose. This in turn provides much better sleep, more oxygen in the body, and the reduction or elimination of "allergic shiners" under her eyes.
