 A few weeks ago, just two days before the event, I was asked to take charge of all production aspects for a seven hundred person event. Fortunately I've known Neal Cohen, owner of Multimedia Audio Visual, for over 25 years. He saved my butt.
Two 9 by 12 foot rear projection screens, two industrial strength projectors, cables, a switcher, a splitter, and everything needed to make them work, were ready and waiting for me twenty four hours later. Then I learned we couldn't start setup at noon as scheduled, but had to hold off until 4:30pm for a 6:00pm show. Someone else had been scheduled in the same venue during my setup time. Neal's right hand man, Acie VanCleave, was on the phone walking me through setup of some of the equipment I'd never used before.
Bottom line, there was way too little time to get things set up, but with Acie's help we pulled it off. The client was happy, the audience was happy, and the speakers were seen and heard just the way we wanted them to be.
