| June 26, 2005 | | The first thing you notice from the portch of the Grand Lake Lodge is an outstanding view of Grand Lake and the surrounding mountains and sky. It's a breathtaking view on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park! | Last year we started looking for a place to have our family reunion in 2006. Grand Lake Colorado was one of the possible venues, and the Grand Lake Lodge came highly recommend. On walking up the stairs to the porch it's impossible to miss the view. Mountains, trees, and entire lake lay before you. The town of Grand Lake Colorado sits just in front of the lake. Main street is filled with shops, entertainment, and wonderful places to eat. I first saw it in the sunshine. Right now I'm watching an afternoon thunderstorm come in. The people at the lodge have been delightful. Marc Hruby, (The H is just there to confuse people. It's pronounced Ruby.) Has been an outstanding host and taken wonderful care of us this trip.
