I'm paraphrasing, but what he said was essentially this. If you tax the rich to give to the poor, you'll have fewer rich people, and more poor people.
If you tax those who work, to give money to those who don't work, fewer people will work. This is exactly the opposite of the American Dream, and the American way. Redistribution of wealth may be the road to equality, but sadly, it is the road to equal poverty.If you know who said this, and when, or have any other comments on this matter, please let me know through the comment button below. | | |
