| August 25, 2009 | | | Al Gore is in the Global Warming (which I think is called "Climate Change" this week) game for two reasons. Money and power. If environmental policies like Cap and Trade pass, he stands to make a substantial amount of money. I don't have a problem with anyone making money, but I do have a problem with them making it through lies and deception. As someone who's studied weather patterns and climate for many years, I see no reason to believe that the weather patterns we've been experiencing are abnormal. A good portion of the planet was much warmer thousands of years ago during a period when there weren't any SUV's, oil companies, and smoke stacks. So even if Global Warming was real, the whole idea that we're the cause of it is laughable at best. Hopefully, once the current cooling trend kicks in, people who realize that Mr. Gore was full of it. | |
