Ken Buck Defeats Jane Norton in Colorado Republican Senate Primary

Jane Norton was gracious as she conceded the Colorado Republican Primary Race last night to Ken Buck. Buck joked about having put his boot in his mouth.

By John Gaudio,

The establishment money was on Jane Norton, but it was Ken Buck who won the Republican nomination for Senate.  Campaign ads were not pretty, and Jane Norton's ads were particularly poor in that they chose to focus on an issue which Jane first brought up with offhand comments about Buck being a man.  Buck's light quip, caught on video, responding he didn't wear high heels, was definitely not worthy of the attention it received, and, in my opinion, the high heels ads hurt Jane Norton more than they helped her.

Both candidates are good conservatives, and both would make fine Senators, but the decision is made, the race is on, and It will be Ken Buck challenging Colorado’s appointed incumbent Senator, Michael Bennet, this November for Senate in Colorado.

Jane Norton has already endorsed Buck.  It's my hope that all of her supporters, including popular talk show host Hugh Hewitt, and all Colorado conservatives will join together now to support Ken Buck for Senate.

May the best conservative win! ;-)
